Ok all...
Currently, I am running this:
A7M266 + 1.4g AMD
Radeon 7000 vivo, 64m ddr
512m crucial ddr (single stick)
40g IBM 7200
30g Western Digital 7200
PulsarII + LunaII sharing IRQ 9, with increased PCI latency, PCI 2&3
Win 98se
Cubase 5.0 r(whatever the last one was)
hp cdr (which is turned off during startup when I record)
creative cdrom (turned off, too)
All other pci cards have been removed. I use a second computer for internet/gaming.
Various softsynths.
I have done every system tweek known to humankind. I still, STILL, get clicks/pops during recording.
My solution: I am going to finally switch to Intel.
The question: What ddr (PC 2100) compatable mobo and processor combi is going to give me the best stability with the fewest tweeks?
If there are any other suggestions that ya'll have, such as "ditch the radeon vid adapt," now's the time to aire those criticisms.
I am open for any suggestions, as long as it is intel based stuff.
Thanks, pulsar people!
