IBM SCSI HD - reliable ?

I've heard that IBM IDE drives are fragile or could "burn" easily.

But they are the only SCSI 10K/15K rpm that i can find.
For the price, they shouldn't be more fragile than any other HD (maxtor WD etc).
- Does anyone had bad experience with those scsi IBM HD, do they have same problems as IBM IDE drives ?
