So I just checked the key file I got after purchasing v4.5 back in the days and there's no dedicated key with "4.5" in its name. There's just the "4.0" key and the keys for the additional packages and devices that were included in the upgrade. (See here what was new in 4.5: http://web.archive.org/web/200710060141 ... sion45.htm)

I guess, the key "Scope Fusion Platform" is for v3.x then.

I wonder if the key "CW Scope Fusion Platform" is the one for v4.5?
v4.5 was a upgrade of v4.0 and worked w/ the v4.0 keys.
I had it installed that way on a Win XP 32Bit Intel Pentium 4 machine using ASUS P4T-E mainboard w/ Rambus RAM and the CW Power Pulsar inserted.I cannot remember I needed a special v4.5 key,- last but not least because I came late to Scope when Creamware was history already and I had just only that single DSP card w/ it´s v4.0 keys and later simply installed a v4.5 installation package I downloaded using a link here or from S|C SFP-server.
sunmachine wrote: Sun Sep 08, 2024 11:28 am Note, that in the first auction, there are keys of two different cards listed, but only the first one (with serial number R266K0405) is the one that is sold if I'm not mistaken.
The latest (2nd) link I provided is the better deal,- everything registered to the same card.

When the seller says it´s v4.5,- he had Scope v4.5 installed w/ these keys,- or the other way around,- when these keys work(ed) w/ v4.0, they also work(ed) for v4.5.
Please correct me when I´m wrong.

cool link !
It explains why it worked for me w/ ease and a Power Pulsar now called "Pro".
Only 3 new devices for that type of card and v4.5
All the other were already included in v4.0 for my power pulsar/ pro card.
I remember I got the keyfile from previous owner.

I have AMD black edition quad core with 4gb of DDR2 RAM and when I upgraded it with SSD it really works great with hardware I have even on v3.
8ch 24/92 recording is smooth, I have drumset with 8 microphones on it. I bought card and I/O box with recording in mind and still after 20y sound is great comparing to some friends 2020 hardware. I will proppably buy card but I need to study our customs law first. Otherwise I might have to pay 40% on item+shipping in a worst case. The best case is providing that card is made in EU and some certification that it is used.
Anyway thank you again!

Scope 3.1c is not very stable on multi-core machines. 4.5, 5 and 7 all are.

banex982 did you buy a card to give you access to newer keys? I *might* have a 3.x CD here but it will take me a while to dig it out, rip and upload it. We have the 3.1c updater above. But the stability concerns would have me running v7 for sure, the $99 fee is a pittance and if you ask kindly by emailing support you can work something out for your other keys in the process, I am sure.

Just realized, that the link to the full 3.1c version I posted above wasn't the direct link to the download page, so I fixed it.
No need to rip a CD. 8)

Yes, acctually in bias of my motherboard when you select "unlock core" for overclocking than winXP sees only one overclocked core and thats how I keep it. I bought only Scope HOME more than 20 y ago and now I am thinking what to do, I would buy BOOST card + v7, but I dont have that money atm. Since I want music producing to be my hobby (I also play drums, bass and can do a bit on keyboards) buying new SC hardware might be overkill, but buying a single card like mine might be better option for me. I am still completating about it all.

New cards from S|C come with Scope 7, and you should always ask to see the keys for any used card purchased on here.

Great, thanks!

Did anyone tried PCIE to dual PCI card to run some of old CWare PCI cards on new computers?
That is something I need to know before I buy something like Booster card or any old card for that matter.. I ordered one to connect it on my main PC which has no PCI slots. I guess it should work cuz it says its "transparent" for OSes, dont need driver on any system. Its on hardware level.

Plenty of info on those solutions if you use the Advanced Search for these forums. Where it may get sticky is with 3.1c and those solutions, so your mileage may vary.
