Help. I have my Scope-board for a year now and it worked well until now. (system: SFP 3.01, 7ms latency (44.1Khz), Adat 2x8, 4x Asio2 in Cubase VST 5.01. On a pc Pentium 1 Ghz, 512 mbRam, AsusChipset)
When I run VST and record audio, since one week, the system crashes: a giant beep through my monitors shake me up, and with that noize the message occurs:
"A communication error with Scope (Board 0) has occured. This problem can normally be corrected by reloading the DSP's. Do you want to try that?" When I answer Yes, nothing happend, the pc stucks.
When I say No, I must restart Scope (or the pc).

What's the matter here? Has it something to do with my AsioSetup? (I went from one to four Asio-channels in VST).

Please help me with this problem.

Check for heat problem, since it's summer, heat can cause this exact error. Also, if you have 2 or more boards, clean the STDM cable with pure alcohol, this also help alot for clean connection.

Anyway, my first try would be to add a fan, or open the case a just try with an additional fan to see if error still occur.

I have met the exact same problem last year during summer times, and fixed it with a fan blowing directly on the pci cards, creamware cards specificaly... Those Sharcs are generating alot of heat!!!

Thanks, that could be the problem. My room is very hot, and I also have a blanket on top of my pc... For the time of a year it was a good solution, until now. Let's hope it was the problem indeed.
