Anybody needed a reason for SFP to be dual CPU compatible?

Yeah they can't keep up so they had to go dual across the line... Interestingly enough, many of the 'main' audio packages STILL do not run on OSX, so the extra money you are now paying for a dual proc machine for audio is a bit wasted until Protools,Logic, etc are running on OSX. This isn't a good thing for musicians ... yet.

Once apple's hardware impresses me, I'll seriously consider adding a Mac to my setup (having both is obviously a good way to go

There are reasons to go dual on a Mac today, even without OSX.
Digital Performer takes full advantage of dual processors.
Logic also supports duals but in a less effective way.
And all under OS 9.

And yes it is nice to have both platforms.
I have.
