I know it was a lot of blood sweat and tears to make this happen and it is much appreciated.
Gary is sure going to be busy

i don't think it's a bandwidth problem. likely, it is a memory allocation problem(lappy architecture), or a timining issue(lappy architecture again). Mattomat really relies on several system resources, rather than simply raw bandwidth. some laptops may perform better than others...Xite Knight v2.0 wrote: Mon Mar 20, 2023 1:17 pmQuite tempted here to fire up the V8 on my Lenovo P50 with expresscard. I´ll possibly reserve my Lenovo W541 workstation laptop w/ expresscard slot and running Win11 Pro x64 for SCOPE v8 beta.
Intel i7 2.8GHz MQ and 16GB of RAM w/ 2 SSDs should be enough horsepower, isn´t it?

@ Sonic Core: Maybe a longshot, but I hope that V8 can improve what seems to be expresscard bandwidth limitations. E.g. I can get only one stable Mattomat loaded on my laptop, but several Mattomats on my stationary PC.
Yes, Scope 7 runs on my P50.Bud Weiser wrote: Mon Mar 20, 2023 7:18 pmScope v7 x64 already runs on my (other) Lenovo W540 running Win10Pro.Xite Knight v2.0 wrote: Mon Mar 20, 2023 1:17 pm

So, I´d expect it running on a P50 too.
You say there´s a hardware related bandwidth difference when comparing the expresscard34 and the PCIe x1 card for XITE-1 ?Xite Knight v2.0 wrote: Mon Mar 20, 2023 1:17 pm @ Sonic Core: Maybe a longshot, but I hope that V8 can improve what seems to be expresscard bandwidth limitations.
I don´t use Mattomat, but I can imagine the bandwith limitation you recognize is possibly mainboard related,- laptop vs your desktop PC.Xite Knight v2.0 wrote: Mon Mar 20, 2023 1:17 pm E.g. I can get only one stable Mattomat loaded on my laptop, but several Mattomats on my stationary PC.
AFAIK, both the currently sold expresscard34 and PCIe card for XITE-1 are PCIe 2.0 standard and x1 (1 PCI lane) bandwidth.
I guess, the older PCIe card (w/ DVI connector) was PCIe 1.1 standard.
I hope this is true ... Holger ???

Me to if it resurrects VST mode.
Congrats and welcome to the xited club !vien wrote: Sun Mar 26, 2023 3:32 pm YOLO. Bought one. Might need to pimp myself to pay the CC bill
Looking forward to my S|C pen and notepad.
