Many years have gone through the pipe of time since we started to get virtually together in this beloved place that smells like music and passion for art. We were younger, extremely enthusiastic and technology-thirsty I remember, eager to do something new, emulate sounds that we knew from before or create new ones, it was so entertaining! We have been among the first people worldwide to start doing virtual shared compositions, today this is just common ground it’s true, but in those days that was something extraordinary. We certainly had a great community and some pick enthusiastic months where everybody was so happy it was unbelievable. Yes, it was unbelievable that something like this could crystalize on the internet, but it did.

Then…, ideology came in…, and differences arrived in a pretty rough way, yeah, we started some really pointless and rather, empty word fights that were totally unnecessary. I still have the same views of the world today, exactly as I used to have them 20 years ago, but the “ways”, the “place” and the “intension”, were definitely wrong, and I am sorry for that.

You know, many years have gone by, and now, dear friends, I feel a tremendous repentance for all of these fights and the wrong use of the power of speaking and writing I have expressed here..., as I was one of the most intense fighters, particularly with poor Hubird.

Right now, I am perhaps slightly wiser than I used to be before, I have paid this learning with a lot of introspection and suffering. Right now, with all of my heart, I beg for your forgiveness. Please, forgive me all those irresponsible word fights that created such a lack of harmony between the participants, these unwise words were supported by my stupid arrogance! I am sorry if I contributed, somehow, to the misery of existence for you. I will try to be a better person.

Nestor, I do hope that most others here are as I, when we have an exchange of opinions, ideas and perceptions the goal is not to beat each other up but to share our views and do our best to understand others.

I can't speak for anyone else beyond that, but for my own part I will say my main goal when speaking with musicians and our creative is to help them avoid pitfalls/snares/traps and remain as productive and independent with their creative activities as possible.

One of the issues with modern "reality" and scripted narratives, is that so many issues are trigger points. Notice the ones that never get solved and either remain in play for decades (or centuries), and the ones that DO go away unsolved once they have been put to use. There's something in common with both, if you touch on any of those subjects it provokes the immediate response(s) that have been prepared by the ideological or political 'side(s)' that have deployed them. It's rare if anything other than a barrage of point and counterpoint taken from our modern media outlets and information sources is the resultant conversation.

One thing I will say here, is that even when people disagreed, by and large they remained present. We did lose a few people very vocally, but out of 5000+ members that's a very small % of our community (the vast majority of whom DO visit but only come here to read!) We lost more people from the 'wars' we had over DSP vs. Native plugins, so that should tell you a LOT about where our fellow forum members priorities actually are. When they get mad over science or climate etc, but COMPLETELY DELETE THEIR ACCOUNT over their favorite plugin(s)...

Well, I'm happy you're still here with us, and you've been such a productive and engaging member I'm sure anyone here has long since forgiven you, assuming such forgiveness was even necessary. Beyond that, your expressed repentance has been duly noted and we expect you to repay us with a penance of music and or DSP creations, to be provided at whatever cost you deem necessary to recoup for your efforts.
