Pulsar 1 adat 1 dead?

My pulsar1 adat1 has died for some reason. the indicator in pulsar doesn't show up... anyone have any ideas what else the problem could be besides it being totally gone??? (The signal from my A16 is alright)...

Try wiggling the cable a bit; try cleaning the card carefully with pure alcohol to remove dirt. Try swapping cables with a known-good cable.

I tried all that but still not working! any other ideas? or should i just get a adat extension?

Can you see if the transmit/send laser is on for the ADAT send port on the pulsar1 card? (disconnect cable and use a bit of paper in front of the connection - don't look at it with your eye)

yeah its red alright... theres no problem with the a16 or the cable... the other 8 inputs work fine when switched them around....

I suppose you already tried re-installing the pulsar software? Maybe a corrupt module?

thanks for the help guys.. just got a pulsar2... all is happy... except the xtc plugs arent loaded into logic. am I meant to do something else? They are in the vstplugin folder but it doesn't come up in logic 5.

My advice? Ignore XTC mode

But if you want to use XTC be sure to read the XTC chapter of the manual. You'll need to close SFP before running XTC mode, and you'll have to merge your tracks differently than VST plugins...
