The other night while mixing a song, I needed to take a mono guitar solo and spread it out over the panarama. I put the expander in line, and viola, sounded GREAT. I was using the 4080 reverbs on the project and the bugged out and caused a crash of my system before I could save my project.
Now, in recreating the mix, I can not for the life of me, get the stereo expander module to do the same thing, that is, take a mono signal and spread it out over the mix.
Any wisdom here?
All help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim
Stereo Expand
I do not thik the stereo expander will make a mono signal stereo, just increase the difference on any stereo signal difference that is already there.
maybe you had the reverb in stereo last time, and this time it is mono? or there is no reverb at all now
(the reverb probably makes the mono signal a bit "stereo" before it gets to the expander )

Did you try the PT_96K_Free reverb yet? It's free and in the devices section here on the 'Z...

Even though its beta it works perfectly for my purposes and uses less DSP while sounding better (for most of my purposes) than masterVerb.
