Pci to pci e adapter

Hi i would like to upgrade my old pc but i love my pulsar2 card..i want to know if there is a pci to pci e adpter to fit my pulsar2 in a new computer..thanx

Yes.
Not sure which model but RME guys use them, check their forum.
It’s basically a voltage shifter and naturally the bus bandwidth has doubled but we don’t even use the limit on a regular 32bit PCI Buss anyway.

I hooked up with a blue PCI-e 16x for direct to CPU connection and there’s no difference even using that.

To make sure you get the right adapter ptalk to guys with PCI Hammerfall Cards.

Although I still use native PCI, I also tried a Magma PCI-Extension. I tried with 15+6DSP, which worked like a charm.
Only the limit at the "masterverb-test" appears with less masterverbs.
I keep this extension for future migrations...

You will probably experience less problems and get the best performance (= less error messages) from your audiocard if you find a modern Mobo with one or more PCI-slots and a "proven to work" chipset. You can still find new MoBo's with PCI-slots:

Personally I changed my Mobo to one that had some PCI slots but this guy has another solution

i am doubtful about the performance. those things always suck.
i'm sure it depends on the usage.

a working motherboard is always easier and cheaper.

the 'best' mobos for Scope are ancient Intel BX, i815, i965 and similiar...
(me looking for an Asus P2B atm, if a cheapo comes across)
I like to treat Scope as a hardware synth and processing unit - connect it via Adat to whatever current CPU racer pleases you.
Setup once and forget about it...
Sidenote: while looking for the P2B I've stumbled over so many boards with > 4 PCI slots that they'll probably NEVER ever run short

actually, the z series chipsets work great.

PCI is obsolete, which is why the XITE is PCIe.

here is one PCI slot. if this exists there are 2 and 3 slot motherboards, but they will likely be commercial boards.

it fits in any old ATX case and uses any old ATX PSU.

I have three scope pci cards loaded and connected via the pcie card to my x79 motherboard.

Works fine and postage is cheaper since its just the board and backplate. The box/chasis they sell doesnt fit the cards anyway.

It uses a Texas Instruments XIO2000A chip
TI site shows this has been superceeded with a XIO2001 chip

anything that does not have a full-sized power supply won't provide enough power for more than one card.
