Supercollider goes free?

I've just heard rumors about this, but mac users might want to check it out.

A software called Supercollider, sort of along the csound line, is now free because the developer is going to become part of Apple. It's not the friendliest software around, but it's definitely one of the world's most powerful synth engine.

Don't have a definite link on this one. Can someone find out?
