Hi everybody

I remember seeing people mention this a while ago and I was wondering if anybody had found a solution. I get clicks in the audio output of mod2 projects when I try to change the delay time of a delay unit or the ratio of a frequency divider while a sound is playing.

Hey Nick, long time no see...!

Check out this thread:

Could it be that your delay is getting clock from something? If so then you may need to smooth the clock before feeding it to the delay or clock it internally...

thats just how it is now. there is nothing one can do short of just not changing the delay time to avoid clicking.

hopefully our delay module will get an update to remedy this, as well as adding a mod input, in the future - among other things.

i to have noticed sync'ing to midi beat clocks to contribute to clicking. this is because the tempo doesn't lock in and stay there, it sort of jitters between a few values. and as we know if the delay time is adjusted you will get clicking.

what i've done is just let the sync signal set the delay time and then turn off the sync. the delay time that your left with is what was calculated from the incoming midi beat clock signal.

it sort of works out ok...

i'm not sure how smoothing would help, but you could try with an envelope follower or a low pass filter...i think if thats what subhuman was getting at.
