Some may have seen the thread in General Discussion "Does anyone from CW ever read Planet Z ?"

The answer is of course yes.

And now Paul from Creamware is a member.

I'm extremely pleased to have CW actively at Planet Z. I'm sure we'll not bombard him at every post

From his post:
Now you will see {Paul@CreamWare} alot, BUT please do not
confuse my participation in this forum officially as support or start asking direct
support questions to me.
I will help where and when I can, As well as contribute as much as possible to the group.

well see you around the z

I thought this was worth posting here because the original thread got sidetracked into a discussion of the ethics of meat-eating and the cooking of waffles

Don't you just love the Z ?

I hope the SFP will be for CW something like Golf 1 for Volkswagen or iMac for Apple or even... like 'Private Dancer' LP for Tina Turner  You know what I mean, don't you?

Hi,

Paul has been around for long time here, he's now here as a CW official too, which I very much appreciate.

Planetz is quite self-suporting forum, but CW could play a good role in "putting the points on the i's". There's some things we do simple not have the inside or background information for, it would be nice if CW gave us a hand in getting some problems straight.

From another point of view, it's very understandable they would like us to come to their forum instead of going around looking for different CW user problems on the net. Some detailed or info (when we cannot sort it out ourselves) from time to time however would be kindly appreciated

My mails to CW have not remained unanswered AFAIK, they reply when there's a problem. To set up a mail to CW, when you're in trouble, requires some basic knowledge and understanding of their system, that can make things more relevant for them, more clear. Try to give them all necessary information in a polite and constructing way. That will make things easier for them, you have to make it easy for them to understand your problem.

My hears on my ars jumped so quick, that it actually hurt a little bit. Realy! I have never tried that before. I am only glad, the headphones where ½meter from my head. My arms are still itchy. I did the jump in the chair too b.t.w.

sandro: as usual good spirit of humour
but so why were we complaining? Paul (EarlyFirst) was going to partecipate also in Pulsar Study Forum and he promised to make lessons about acoustics and reverbs, am I right?
Personally I think it would be very nice if he shares with us his knowledge and very interesting if he tell us something about what really happens in CW headquarters...

Lovely to hear from Creamware again ! Thanks for replying.

I have nothing specific to ask, just hoping for CW to particpate in the community. But I would be very grateful (and I'm sure others would be too!) for your thoughts on this topic:

believe it or not, but what you're hoping actually *is* the case - speaking for the developer team

To Spirit - I've read the discussion thread.
(In fact many of the developers read this forum even if they don't post here.)

You can be sure that I understand the thoughts and wishes expressed there - I'm also quite familiar sometimes finding anger, fear and doubt in discussions about Creamware's DSP cards and future releases.

It doesn't make sense for me to join in with a performance discussion and or comparing with other DSP cards.

Ken made a good point by mentioning that it's mainly a matter of personal work style what system's right.

The same applies to what you really see in a DSP card, e.g. a digital mixer, musical instrument, or effect device?

What sometimes makes me angry is when some people simply declare CreamWare's DSP cards as outdated either without much thinking or
intentionally dragging others into doubt.

So what'll be the future - was that the main question?

I'm clearly not into marketing but if you have a look at what is officially announced then it's easy to think on what the most likely sequence could be:

- flogging bugs out of SFP to further improve the system
- extensions of existing devices (don't forget the system is modular, two )
- high end synthesizers (read then news...)
- high end effects (Vinco's good - isn't it?)
- performance updates for existing devices

well, and holidays for the developer team, hopefully!
