i am collecting the dsp-loads of the plugins (not only creamware stuff but also freebees and commercial plugs; about synths: 1st voice and each additional voice) and will present them on a website. the list on planetz seems a bit outdated.
does anyone wants to help making a complete list here?
How do you do this. are you taking all the numbers from the list and loading a device, then taking all the numbers again and checking the difference? it looks like a pain to do
yaaa, i launched the site and it seems to work so far. about 70% of the standard plugins are listed, also some 3rd-party stuff (thanks to the ones who helped )
ok, it's not really interesting but.. it's my first website and it looks pretty
ciao
i only wanted to close this topic in a good way. i thought about making it public but this forum is obviously only for exchanging gossip, tips and some problem-solving and i will keep it this way
that's why the link is now only available for the people who helped and some friends.
Hmm, I don't get it, Musquash. Must be my understanding of the English language or what?
First you say you are collecting DSP-loads of plugins because the PlanetZ info is outdated. You also say you'll present them on a website. Gives me the impression you are going to share info with the forum members. Then, few posts later you say you keep it for yourself and your friends.
That puzzles me.
Am I alone in this?
Rob
because the only reaction to this thread was "this is too much work". i thought it is no problem if some people measure 1-2 plugins but i was obviously wrong.
it surprises me that i receive so many reactions after i said i keep the site private.. nobody loses anything
I asked if there was a better way to do it, because the only way i can think of is to write down each number of a list of 19, load a synth, write down all the numbers again.
then change to 2, 3, 4 voices and do it again, then calculate the amount.
the "sync" number on the DSP meter by the way. it passes 1000, what is its actual maximum?
Oh, and if you are not willing to share info, i will just post it here instead, and please make sure not to use any free devices that people have created shared with you even though they got nothing in return.
creting a device is slightly "hard" er than writing down some numbers and putting them in a calculator.

you forgot to mention that many of the free devices are just appetizer or intros for the commercial ones and that's not called "sharing" but "PR" if i would practice developing devices, i would release them here for free, too - this way i get betatesters for free. so dont say they dont get anything in return.
and did anyone here asked for help and never tried to help others? no (maybe some newbies). it seems that problem-solving isnt for free either.
my site is a work of some people. i asked here too - no response - no access. easy to understand and i'm tired justifying myself. to me the topic was already closed after my 3rd post.
Firstly, I want to make it very clear that I don't want to criticise you for making your web-site private, because as you say it is your information. You are entitled to do whatever you want with that information.
I do, however, have a couple of points I'd like to make. Please don't take them as criticisms, they are merely so you might understand why people might be surprised by your decision.
Firstly, it was probably the fact that you posted a message to say that you had completed your site and that you were really pleased with it which may have confused people. I think it may have originally been taken as an invitation to contribute further or comment, whereas it was merely you closing the post.
Secondly, the people for whom this information would be most useful are conversely the least likely to be able to contribute to the site, i.e. those with few devices (e.g. I only have Luna software) and those who have limited DSP resources.
Again, I am not criticising your decision to make your site private, but think you might have been better not to have posted a message to this effect, as it may have caused some offense.
Cheers,
Will
P.S. You may find that people are still willing to contribute data for your site, as this is a very community-driven forum. Please note that there were only three days between your 1st and 3rd posts.
musquash; what data exactly do you want? (the numbers in the 'DSP Load meter' don't say me anything, except for nothing )
And what devices have already been submitted (so we can avoid redoing others work)
To make that website private and to creamware supporters only. It makes no sense actaully. why those people need to know something they have already know? Why not give to the people who really want to know about it but can't find those information without actually buying the card?
Sorry, but I just don't understand your point for making it a private site.
