haven't tried Tape Echo yet, but Optimus Prime is very addictive!

Super device! Still haven't really figured out the infinite loop thing, because I'm having way too much fun running drum loops through this machine.

Only slight complaint is that when changing presets, I always have to silence the dry signal (using it as an aux). Is there an option to add a toggle/button to have the dry/wet mix unchanged when changing presets? Some devices have this, for instance for BPM... So, if you're having a go at it, do BPM as well?

no, there is no way i know in doing what you request, since these are functions which you want to save with the preset.....so....what you can easily do....save them as seperate presets(with your unchanged aux/bpm values)....and switch between those....that is a very easy way isn't it?

I wish I knew how or had a camera to film with.
I am using Prime Time with a Physis K4 and Zebra2/Zebra HZ, and with 6 expression pedlas for the synths and FX it is most addicting locking things together.

Vintage and Howl combined are so close to the old PCM 42 and Prime TIme 53 it's ridiculous, I actually smile....

as I understood the demos and comments it can very well do the realtime stuff...
(just doesn't split bandwidth the Lexicon way with increasing time)
to my ears it adds a slightly metallic artefact, but then you have only that much samples in true live mode
... and stuff will also have to get synced to the rest of the system
one could take it as feature similiar to the Lexicon darkening the sound in a muddy way

that's just a guess, I have no idea about the background in Scope...
(except to expect exploding PCI load when taking this too far)

the performance isn't my cup of tea, except for the drummer...

Exactly why I still have a DEP-5, TC Fireworx and PCM42.
Even though I don't dive bomb I love that turn everything into slow motion hardware delay units achieve.

great as Optimus Prime may be, it is not a real match to my Strymon TimeLine, which, by the way, does the pitch shifting/dives and is sharc DSP powered ... and four times as expensive. lots of character, still (I mean OptimusPrime).
As has been mentioned a lot: use the strengths of a device/system/..., use something else to fill in the weaknesses.

Edit: tonight i tried some phantompanning with the optimus prime, and some early reflections for maybe mastering....just liven it up.
The panning with delays is really mindboggling process .
Listen to it on a monotrack....see your meters.....and it pans....without the meters changing....your brain interprets the delayed channel as placement.
Nice for live maybe...people standing by one of the speakers won't have anything chang in the mix for them...but, it a delay, so maybe for tranisent sounds a little time correction....just a touch
Hope you'll find the additions usefull. Again uploaded a new zip for the optimus prime, in there is the updated presetfile.
