recommendations for compressor

I need a good set of compressors for my drum kit. Mostly doing drum n bass with a smattering of other styles thrown in for variety. I'm having a heck of a hard time getting really good compression with the compressors that come with the pro pack (go figure). And I'd prefer to compress in SFP rather than with waves...any ideas?

My favorite's http://www.sonictimeworks.com Mastering Compressor. I use it all the time, and it's got very easy control. Input Level, Threshold, Release, Output Level. The rest is done automatically

The Hardknee version is light on DSP, the Softknee version takes 4 DSP, it just fits on a Pulsar1.

I tried the compressor X from Timeworks as a VST and it sounded great. I think the Pulsar one is the same and it's next on my list of things to buy

(but their site says no support for V3 software??)

Version 3 of Timeworks is coming VERY soon.
(And it's still the best bundle for OUR platform, IMHO).

I'm considering porting the "Timeworks EqualizerV1". It's a fantastic mastering tool, but there's A LOT of work involved in porting that one.

ReverbX will not be ported. It's simply impossible to create/run those algorithms on a Pulsar.
I am considering a modified 4080L, but that is also something that takes a lot of time, and research.
If I do, it will be called "Timeworks 9060L", hint-hint

can you explain this a litle more, is the sharcs not powerfull enough, or is it an pci/ram issue?

Did I just blink and all the prices on the Sonic Timeworks site just go up ? I downloaded the 4080L (VST/DX) demo a while ago and saw the price at US$99. Not too bad methinks. Went back a few days ago to consider buying a bundle and saw the 4080L was now US$119. Hmmmm, yeah ok, that's inflation I guess. But when I look again it's now US$149. Have I had happy delusions (a good chance

) or does the price just keep leaping up ?

But a great reverb - pity there's only six presets. If there's any of the "old" ones left I'll take one at the old price - I don't mind a scratch or two...

And any chance the 6022 delay will be modified to have the rate defined in BPM ? A much more useful scale these days IMHO...
