There are only 2 choices to work in wavelab :

asioscope-wavedriver doesn't exist ! asio=ASIO not wave
asioscope source is an ASIO driver like 'ASIO2-32 Source 64' and the dest is 'ASIO2- Dest 64'.
Wave driver is : 'Wave source' or '24 bit Wave source' (MME) it doesn't be available for recording in wavelab it doesn't work well with it.

You have to choose between ASIO or Wave driver (MME) in scope, the other sources (analogue etc ...) can't be use directly in wavelab you must sent it to an ASIO or a WAVE dest.
If you want to use MME driver (wave), you must use 'Render' to make a wav or mp3 file in wavelab (not recording possible).
If you want to use ASIO (it's now possible with the correction patch !) you can do everything you want.

Could you show your scope project ? I think it's maybe wrong defined.

I do know how to make projects since the year 2000. I did use wavelab2...4..5... with my pulsar1cards and later pulsar2 and pro.
When using wavelab (using MME in wavelab) the wavelabsignal enters a wavesource in scope normaly and when using asioscope in wavelab the wavelabsignal enters the asio32-source64. With wavelab7 and scope64bit the only way to make wavelab work was uninstal scope, then choose the mme-driver and re-instal scope. But no recording( like i said before). And keep away from the audio streaming settings coz freezing.
Do not think i use an analog source for using wavelab
Happely for you it works with the 'let's free the ASIO driver if cubase runs in background' or something like that , but not for me.

grtz and thanks

no no no ...

I noticed to you 'asio release in background' if you want to open wavelab while cubase is opened
I never use this option because like you told if you go to scope the sound turns off, but IF you want to use wavelab in the same time of cubase you have to do that.

1) if you have ASIO source and dest in your scope project
2) if you apply the windows register patch
3) you can open wavelab , and change your audio flux driver in options of wavelab to take ASIO instead of wave MME.

Is it more clear ? :o

You don't need anymore this tips. You can use asio with the .reg patch

if i use wavelab to record a cubasemix out of the scopemixer via wavedest for mastering i use them at the same time. I've always did it that way until wavelab7
So in this configuration i use an asiosource/dest and wavesource/dest
What are you trying to tell me again and again if i told already in the first mails that this regpatch make cubase not working.

So you never use cubase and wavelab at the same time? :o . First you told me:

I remember to you that I'm on windows 7 64 , with cubase 5.5.3 64, with wavelab element 7.2.1 and all is right now, all works fine, the issue is corrected for me. And I can start wavelab even if cubase is opened in preferences : if the check 'let's free the ASIO driver if cubase runs in background' (or something like that for me cubase french version).

and now:
I noticed to you 'asio release in background' if you want to open wavelab while cubase is opened
I never use this option because like you told if you go to scope the sound turns off, but IF you want to use wavelab in the same time of cubase you have to do that.

ok, I don't work like you. I export the wav file from cubase and import it after in wavelab.
And for the mastering I can re-recording with scope plugins into wavelab in asio mode.

Wave drivers doesn't permit to record I agree ...

S|C should really correct this wave drivers bug it is really really annoying and kidnaps a big part of flexibility in scope ...

This patch works for Wavelab 6 in case anyone needed to know. I am using Windows 7 32 bit. I only edit in Wavelab so I haven't tried it with another program like Ableton or Cubase (I don't have Cubase). I'm so glad I can use Scope for all my audio now. Before I was using the PC headphone out every time I needed to do something in Wavelab which worked but it was kind of ghetto. Thanks for posting this!

I also just edit a little bit in Wavelab 7 and I will try it in our W7 now.
The Fraunhofer mp3 is great though .
If you want to use it for film audio the Wave Sourse is very usful.
We use both Wavelab 6 and 7 , in the same time with Scope in a Vista computer.
Using higher latency makes good quality when recording for film ,
already mastered material .
Also the Wave was 16 bit before but now its 24 bit ,
thats very good because on internet we can also use 48khz

Is there any reason to get Wavelab Elements if you own Cubase 7? I can't find much information about it.

I used to use Cubase. After I switched to Ableton, I used Cubase only to edit (Ableton doesn’t really have a wave editor). Cubase will probably do everything you need for wave editing, however after I got Wavelab I realized just how much it can do and now I love it. So to answer your question, since you have Cubase you do not need Wavelab LE, but ……. I would recommend the full version of Wavelab. I bought the educational version of Wavelab on eBay. The educational version is the same as the full version but a lot cheaper. I’m not a student so nobody is checking that there. You can even upgrade it. Now that I can use Wavelab with Scope I’ll probably upgrade to the newer version.
