I use a tusl2-c with celeron 1300 and 2 Pulsar1 and did every tweaking i found on this forum and in the manual. All of you who use this chipset got 8MV minimum!? Why the hell :???: ?
Thanx for suggestions!

What peripherals do you use? Try de-activating, in Dev.Mgr., devices you don't use and could be suspected: SCSI, LAN, USB,...

No SCSI, LAN removed, USB disabled. Same setup like JoeKa but he has a powerpulsar and a pulsar2 and SCSI but he has no idea where the problem is (he gets 12-13MV).

Could it be your running 24-32 bit and he is running 16 bits?

Or memory type? I have no idea... Did you check your SubTest? did you do the same project? I uploaded an example project for SubTest.

I loaded only the MV´s and the I/O´s. Samlerate @44,1khz with 24bit. No testing with sandrasisoft because i didn´t installed it. Maybe the difference is between Pulsar1 and Pulsar2? Anyone there who has a P1 loading more MV´s? I don´t remember all posts i read belonging to tusl2-c.
Thanx for your fast responses! Didn´t help me yet but maybe later.

Your running 24 bits. That takes a lot more PCI resources than 16 bit.
That's probably why, me thinks.
Try running with 16 bits and see what result you get.

FreiFlug

i too have 2 first generation boards (pulsar+srb) and i get similar results to yours, 6 MVs or 5 PTFREEs. my board is CUSL2 and my system is well tweaked.
it seems to be limitation of 1st generation hardware

Thanx a lot Michu,
i think thats the only sensemaking explanation. I thnk 5-6 MV´s is not so bad too. Maybe there once is the possibility to upgrade the system with a luna 2 or whatever (if i have enough money). Then it should function anyway.

I have Tusl2-c celeron 1200 A pulsar 1 & pulsar srb 2 And can load up to 8 with the 9th it overloads.

So it should be possible. I have pci latancy at standard 32 becourse i use an network card.. maybe you can do something with this info..

The reason you get less mVs, is because you have a Pulsar1 board, which has slightly less efficient PCI transfers. Adding a generation-2 board (pulsar2, luna2, pulsar2srb, scope2, etc) and making a few tweaks will give you more...

He subs your stated in the post on network cards that you should be able to have 12 mv's in a setup with pulsar & tusl2-c when you remove your network card.

Since i have a pulsar1 & a pulsar 2 srb and am getting 8 mv for now.
Would it also work when i simple disable the network card in my device manager in win98 or should completly remove the card ?

I ask this becourse i have a dualboot with winxpro and what to use this platform for internet, grafics and 3d grafics, etc.
And would like to have internet in there.

Would you also have a look at this post

http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... &forum=1&0

Maybe you could point me in the right dirrection on this on.

Laterz.

Hi djody, hi subhuman,
sorry for answering a little late but i was out the last 2 days.
I tested changing pci latency and got the best performance at 128. I use http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... tart=20&21 and i think my system is well tweaked. I tried everything i found on this forum and in the CW-manual so that the only difference between your (djody)pc and mine could be the system (i Win98, you WinXP). Perhaps that´s the reason you get a better performance!?
Thanx sub that you make me shure that the reason is the old board and the decision to buy a new expansion will be easier.
I´m sorry djody that i can´t help you with your problem because i havn´t got WinXP till now and i´m no computerfreak.
Thanx a lot for your time anyway

Thanks for your consern FreiFlug..

Btw i'm still running win98 also (dualboot)
And i tested it in both Operation systems.
The result are the same. Subhuman told it could be network card related. so i will be testing this soon.

Buying more dsp can never harm. Btw specialy now that creamware turned 10 and has some good offers.
