I have just installed win xp pro and I can't see pulsars midi ports in logic anymore.
the drivers for these just seem to have disappeared.
the other problem is that my TEAC cdr is only recognised as a normal cdrom.
any help would be great

My TEAC 24x CDRW IDE works perfect under XP. Do you have an older Teac? You might need to flash the firmware, go to the Teac website and flash your CDRW with the latest firmware. If XP still insists on not finding it, perhaps removing it from Device Manager manually, then rebooting, to have XP redetect it (after you flash the firmware of course) would make it show up properly.
Midi ports not showing up? Might mean you installed Logic before you installed your CW card/software... reinstall Logic, with the proper number of MIDI devices already loaded in your CW software. You can manually edit the win.ini file to adjust Logic's MIDI settings, and also there are settings in the Device Manager, driver information for Creamware where you can adjust the number of software midi ports (corresponding to Sequencer MIDI Source, etc, in your projects), for a maximum of 8...
