Maximum adat cable length

I want to use adat cables from 2 a16 ultra to 2 scope pci cards.
The length i need is about 15 meters (maybe i could get along with 10m).

So my questions are:
Has anyone used cables this long without problems (sync, jitter or any other quality issues)?
Any suggestions on brands?
What about plastic or glass?

I would really appreciate any help.

i've used 50 foot cables quite successfully.

regular old hosa cheapies.

they're still being used in a professional studio.

actually, expensive, fancy optical cables often won't work well because the ends are too bulky and they don't fit in the sockets in space on the card well(too big, too close together).

there are repeaters for long runs. technically, 10meters is supposed to be the maximum, so if you really want to be safe, go with that or use a repeater(amplifier) for longer. just sayin'....i have used 50 footers and they have worked(50ft=15m).

Well, that's great to hear.
So i guess i will try the hosa.
Since it works for you, there is no reason it won't work for me.

However, i found no EU dealer for the hosa cables (there is EU distribution but they don't seem to have a 15m cable available).
Any more suggestions from EU?

I finally decided to order these cables

These were the only ones i found in the EU that were above 10m (they have 15 nad 20 meters).
I ordered the 15m ones.

I will give you a short review as soon as i test them.
I hope there will be nothing to tell you except "they work as they should"

Well guys, the cables arrived yesterday.
Just a few minutes ago, i connected everything together and.....they work like a charm.
No problems, no nothing.
Highly recommended.

I use a 30 foot (10m) cable to connect my XITE to an external A/D converter that sits under the main mixer for the band, which then has a short snake straight in/out of the board. My remote area then has a pair of ADAT cables, and a pair of MIDI. Easy to connect & disconnect my system between sessions.
