I would like to officially thank Creamware.
You guys are the s**t!!!

I have been a PulsarI user since the 1.0 days and no matter what version, what improvements are needed, and what bugs need to be fixed – overall, you guys need to know that there is at least one user who has not one complaint!

Yeah, yeah, yeah – things could always be better......but damn am I a proud owner of the pulsar!...there’s nothing better than to be in the middle of a project, to look up, to look around, and to say to yourself – “Damn, I love this s**t!!! Hehehehh

Seriously though, you guys are doing a great job especially with incorporating as many ‘wish lists’ as time will permit you with all of the updates.

I don’t know how many people will relate, but with all the systems and options to choose from for Pro Audio, it gets stressing just thinking about what system to choose and if you have made the right decision. Also, with the ProTools domination in all pro studios, it seems to make it even more difficult to ‘know’ you have made the right decision......but I tell you – through time, Creamware has really improved by great lengths, made their mark, and there is not one question that remains any longer.

...It literally is a full on Hardware / Software Studio......and just thinking about using the synths, or samplers, or configuring all the I/O gets me amped up and inspired to create. Ever since 1999 when I bought it, I have not had one crash during a recording or pre-production session – The only problems that have occurred have been with the Sequencer (Cubase – and it was mostly from the lack of tweaking the OS - I get 77 Tracks running w/no clicks w/ Pulsar 3.01 & Cubase 5.1 now)
Even on Steinberg’s end too – they have made tremendous advances since v3.7 and with SX coming – if we need to be compatible w/ ProTools – its done! There ARE Pro options other than the ‘ProTools’ option.
Again, no questions remain!

I also have to give the Planetz community major props as well. There is so much music love and synergy going on around here – and the help that is given not only with Creamware issues but with almost every other issue that can be related to recording has an overwhelming vote from me made to Planetz for being one of the best forums around too....

Wow!!! Thanks man. We all like this forum, it’s our baby you know…

I’ve been using Pulsar since 1999 like you, and think the same. Pulsar it’s getting better by day, and there is more third party involved software than ever before. It will certainly become a mayor hit in a couple of years if Creamware keeps persevering this way!

I don’t want to change to anything else, just want to upgrade with an SRB as soon as I possibly can.

Finally an update that from my point of view deserves only gratitude! This is rare as normally there are things to point out in even the most modest software updates. I'm not that surprised that Creamware is the first company to really satisfy my demands. There are always bugs in a software as complicated as the SFP but so far everything seems to be working just fine. Windows XP is the first PC OS to be really able to run a system like the SFP stably. Now that XP seems to be fully supported I have a feeling that at last I might be able to use more time doing music than tweaking my DAW. Thaaaaaannkkyyyoooouuu!!!

And yes, thanks to all you geeks running to problems that I can't even imagine. PlanetZ has saved me a lot of days to use evading choc chip cookies..

I've used the Pulsar platform since 1.0 also. It took a long time to get useable. The darn thing would crash every 10 minutes way back then. It doesn't crash as much anymore but my complaint is with the registration module. I can't even use the dynamic mixer on the SFP because it keeps asking me for an authentication number. That's not exactly what I call progress.

just copy old dynmixer & micromixer from 3.01 in 3.1 mixer folder over new mixer devices. if you don't have 3.01 devices anymore, you can download old micro & dina mixers here

Creamware have practically redesigned a platform that was 3 yrs in development in 5 months.
So the fact that SFP, has a quite a few bugs, I think can be put down as a hiccup, when pulsar works it works well.
But any idea how long before a bug patch update?

But I'll reiterate creamware have done a good job, they just should have had a wider beta testing program, cus they're a few dissapointed people about at the moment.

When SFP is up and running it will rock, there's no question.
I've been using Pulsar since version 2.0 and I couldn't be without it. I'm still as amazed with it's flexability now as I was when I first got it....
OK, having said all that, I have to say that while creamware's products are just amazing, their technical support could use some improvement.

Planetz is THE place where we all have the ability to help each other iron out problems that may or may not be bugs. Some of us get frustrated, I know I did and still do.
I still feel at times that Mac-Users (like me) are poor second cousins when it comes to support from Creamware.

This place is a GodSend for trouble shooting and I'm extremely glad it's around. There's a strong and knowledgable Mac-User base here to tap into.
My final word is that I think Creamware's presence on this forum can only be a positive step.

I have to say that I am getting better performance under SFP, meaning I can use more of the DSP without it giving me overflow messages.

Hey guys, thanx for the chiming in - I do have to say though - that this thread really was intended to be a thank God we have a creamware product but w/out the coulda, shoulda, woulda been better ifs.....I was just trying to give out some props and hope we could get a thread on here with some happys, some pluses, and some thanx for the grinding creamware has been doing since its inception w/ the 1.0 version....

(Plus, I think that a lot of the bugs have to do w/ individual computer setups.
I have had a 500mhz pIII Gateway w/ 384MB RAM and have never had a crash w/ any version of pulsar...and SFP works just fine too........)

Again, thanx to all who have contributed to making this creamware and planetz thing live!!! hehehhh

I don't see any posts in here from Creamware thanking us for giving them money. This thread is just ridiculous. It's a business get it? We give them money and they give us products. If anything is wrong we can and should complain especially in a thread that was intended to bestow praise on the almighty lord of soundcards Creamware Corporation. All bow down and kiss the feet of the German computer engineers.

I actually buy distilled water for drinking. It costs me about $10.00 a month.
