latency issue

hey guys lately been having latency problem cant figure out. when i play something on midi keyboard it sounds correct but when recording,the recorded midi is slightly delayed. ulli settings in scope are 4ms at 44.1 khz and in cubase in device settings the latency also looks right 4.376 ms. using usb midi keyboard, scope 5, cubase 5... ne ideas? thanks

Cubase never gave me noticable latency.
But USB w/o using real MIDI on the Scope cards could be the trouble.
I know the specs allow MIDI oer USB but USB and Firewire/MLan are nothing I would ever care to rely on for realtime work.

yeah, don't use USB.
Go for direct MIDI input on Scope cards.

yeh i think u guys r right, i never had this problem back when was using midi, achh i guess time to go shopping again, u think a usb to midi cable or adapter would work, or need to change whole controller?

an external adapter would probably work better, since you will be able to plug into MIDI directly rather than deal with USB running across the motherboard.

iirc, check "use system timestamp" in cubase settings was the old fix...
