After that second time out I did install GetRight, because I want to be able to resume the download instead of having to start all over again. I'm at work now, but if all is going well, then the update should have been downloaded when I get back home.

Star downloader is:
1) free
2) not addware
3) not spyware
4) has no adds

Thanks Kim! If the update hasn't been downloaded in full, then I'll definitely download it from your site (high speed I read).

Hey mate....

any possibility of helping a Mac brother out???

Creamware's site has really P*ssed me off. I got to 120.9mb of a 124.9mb download and then timed out.

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHGGGGGGH!

Tried to re-establish, but I guess everyone is awake in Europe now. So connection speed was under 1k per sec.

Too slow, and I bet it would time out.

Get a nice program which supports "resumed download", check http://www.google.com for download utility

I missed out my first shot too, and it's actually quite normal you cannot dl it in one go. Ie. I think my ISP puts a small interrupt each hour, to prevent massive batch downloading. Normally, this goes by unnoticed, but if you dl hours in one go, you get kicked off eventually.

Get a dl resumer!

Hey thanks atomic....

I didn't even think about that. I have become so spoiled with DSL and 150+kb/sec transfers that it didn't even register to get a download utility.

Back in business.....

Now I just have to wait it out.

Cheers

Guess what I'm doing right now? The download was at 77 % and at a rate of approx. 2 kB/sec it would take forever to finish. Now it's taking an impressive sprint to the finish line.
