My PC is a tad sick at the moment and I'm using it in a way I haven't done before.
I'm running a Pulsar II and Giga, but I've always accessed Giga via a UnitorII.
The Unitor has been a bad boy, and it's been sent to sit in the corner, so I'm trying to play Giga via the Creamware midi input cable.
The external keyboard can play pulsar synths via this input with no probs.
I've got Giga's Hardware Routing set to: Midi In Port 1 = Creamware Midi In 1
But I'm not sure how to make the routing in the Pulsar project.
1. It doesn't work if I don't connect the pulsar 2 midi source A to anything at all
2. It doesn't work if I connect the pulsar 2 midi source A to Sequencer midi dest 1
3. It doesn't work if I connect the pulsar 2 midi source A to Pulsar 2 midi dest 1 (duh!)
Any ideas? I feel like I must be overlooking something extremely basic.
HALP Pulsar midi to Gigastudio!
most work!!On 2002-05-08 05:49, Chadwick wrote:

you have right connection but wont work for some other reason. i had same problem with win98 and SFP but with win98 and pulsar3 giga was working nice.
so right connection is:
Pulsar 2 midi A Source - sequencer midi dest 1
i'm now on XP and giga works with this connection: alone or with cubase!!
try to du overinstal of pulsar's software and than try. if not work instal giga studio again but while you do instalation you must have pulsar's project in background with GSIF included.
hope you can understand my english!?
xp/sfp - recommended

Thanks guys, problem solved.
For those who are interested.
Giga has four virtual midi in ports. I had been using them with unitor, but stopped using unitor this week.
When I switched to the Creamware midi input for Giga's port one, I left the other three ports with Unitor assigned to them.
This was a mistake apparently.
Giga would not run midi with the unitor disconnected physically while it was assigned to it on the hardware page - even though the Creamware midi connection was perfectly ok (Pulsar midi source to Seq midi dest.).
Just as an experiment I set the extra three ports in Giga to 'none' and got my midi connection back for port one.
Phew, and thanks again.
