Kontakt 4 users new Factory library.
I was using the Grand Piano from Keyboard instruments, Orchestral in the Factory Library and noticed an additional sound on the keys B1b, A1, A1b, G1. The keys go from A-1 to C7.
I suspect the samples are faulty on keys B1b, A1, A1b, G1 an additional sound is present in the attack portion of the sound. It could be the device that hits the keys you can hear. The surrounding keys sound have a natural piano sound. The other grand piano August Foerster does not produce any additional sounds on the keys B1b, A1, A1b, G1.
Has anybody else noticed this?. Try it out.
Kontakt 4 - additional attack sound on Grand Piano samples
Re: Kontakt 4 - additional attack sound on Grand Piano samples
If it is the Steinway R you are inquiring about I checked it out it is working fine. Personally I would never use it and this has reminded me to remove the free library from my drive, so I am glad you posted this.
I tested it since I play Kontakt 4.0 and Scope every morning.
I double check my hardware and live project and this might be something to try.
Instead of moving your library, do you have extra room on a sample HDD anywhere?
You should download the free library again in another space and check the same suspect samples out.
There's the possibility that you have downloaded corrupted sample data, or you could have stumbled upon a bad sector of your HDD.

BTW, Your Scope Piano of Yore was cleverly done.
Cheers.
