Okay this might sound really ignorant and I apologise for that, but I've not been able to get any sound out of my Pulsar 3.01 running on XP Pro.
Problem is that I dont' have a MIDI Keyboard yet so I can't fully follow the example in the manual (in the Getting Started Guide). I am able to play a wave file and get sound out so it appears that the software is installed correctly . If I fire up the EZSynth and load a Pre-set should I be able to trigger off the sound in the Pre-set without having a MIDI
keyboard, just by moving the oscillators????
I've got my EZSynth OUTL and OUTR routed to the Pulsar2 Analog Dest LIn and RIN but do not get any sound.
Any idea what is wrong here???

Well, not having the MIDI keyboard seems to be the problem.. but there are other ways to trigger the synths. Assuming you have Cubase, or some sort of MIDI editing software, you can manually DRAW your MIDI score, and then pump that into the Pulsar synth. To do that, you would connect the Seq MIDI source to EZsynth, and set the MIDI channel on the EZsynth to the channel you are sending to in the sequencer program.
If you don't mind a quickly written crap MIDI file, you can use this one I just made quickly.

If you still don't have your sequencer installed yet, you can play it back through media player and I think you should still get MIDI signal in Pulsar.

Yes, I can run Ken's link by opening the MIDI file in Cubase. But can someone explain the signal connection to me for routing the EZSynth to be triggered off from Cubase?
I've got the EZSynth's OutL and OutR going to the LIn and RIn of the Pulsar2 Analog Dest.
Is this the way it should be or do I need to have the EZSynth's Midi connected to the MIDI of the Pulsar2 Analog Dest???
Also what is the Input going into the EZSynth?
Basically what I want to do is to play a EZSynth Pre-Set (not the Midi file that ken sent me) from Cubase.
Thanks for any info. on this.
I feel so ignorant here but it's my first day with Pulsar and I'm no Sound Engineer...

Well, midi sends notes, it is the player of the piano.
By selecting presets, you choose different piano's. Presets give you different settings from the machine
So actually you'll use both midi notes and presets.
Set sequencer (=player) output to Pulsar Midi Port, which is Sequencer Source device in your Pulsar OS. Connect Seq Source to your synth (=instrument) midi input. Connect synth output to Analog Dest to speakers/hifi chain.

look, they explained it to me and it works nicely now:
