So the only mac option compatible with xite right now is the 17 inch macbook pro as other macbook pro's all seem to ship with sd card options. I can't keep up with apple!!

cutting off I/O protocols in order to keep things cheap and 'proprietary' - and in order to push everything towards wireless interfacing of devices (including external harddrives - it's coming).
My little Dell netbook even has HDMI port on it - perhaps the next big push is for HDMI - who knows...
Friends that are Apple-heads are getting pissed.

Absolutely! I haven't paid close attention but I have been informed that Apple already had to conceed defeat with firewire 800 support when they tried to drop it. I just can't see the 'pro' appeal of a sd card slot option. Also having to deal with a less portable and expensive 17" laptop isn't great.Friends that are Apple-heads are getting pissed.
