I have a Type II classic RCA I/O plate with whip, to trade for an AES/EBU plate.
Lemme know. I'm converting to a +4dbu balanced pair of preamps.
Plate and whip are like new. If someone has one for sale for cheap I'll consider that instead, even one w/o the XLR whip.

WTT - RCA plate for xlr plate
Re: WTT - RCA plate for xlr plate
you'll need the whip, because the pinout is different. there is a scheme for the AES/EBU whip somewhere on PZ, and if you're good with a soldering iron maybe this is your way to go.capacitor wrote:Plate and whip are like new. but keeping the whip would make no sense for the seller anyway, imho

I'm sorry, but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Yep and thanks
I have a spare whip set aside to convert. This is going into a dedicated box, so I don't need the XLR connectors. I'm planning on bringing the connections out to a 1/2 rack patch bay.
So a card with well-used/dicey/lost whip is just fine by me
