Does PsyQ sound brighter?
Doesn't sound as warm as before.

Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
bugger.
i'm experiencing the disappearing mod cables like most of you guys. My miniscope doesnt have a background image too.
Looks like SFP5 RC isnt quite ready yet. Lets hope S|C actively looks at this thread and implements bug fixes for the full release.
SFP looks good so far, pitty about the problems.

PsyQ sound obviously same as before (nice and good). People this is RC not the final product! You all should use this only for testing and making it even better

Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
i was going to wait and collect them all, and test other people's bugs to see if i have them.siriusbliss wrote:you guys ARE posting these bugs to S/C, right?

Would be good to have a time frame in which we could usefully post reports.
Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
I am forwarding all of the bugs I have encountered on my system even if they have been reported by others.
This way I can guarantee they have received details of the issue and that they also understand if it's an isolated incident or more generic.
These bugs aside I am enjoying my Scope 5 experience thus far!

btw has anyone had problems with the Wave Source modules? i can't get any sound from wave sources like QuickTime Player etc.
Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
Vetting bugs here before sending them in isn't a bad idea. Also perhaps some basics (OS, install path/dir or w/e) so that we can identify simple differences..?

This version of SFP5 is only a pre-release, consider it as a beta/test version. The full release should probably have xtc back and up. I bet they made the decision to release a 'unpolished' version to kept the SC/planetz fans 'happy' for a bit to buy more time....

Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
I have already fixed my preset problems for the STW Suite from mpodrug's link in MrA's preset thread, so I am already enjoying a fix somewhat here.
STW Chorus/Delay only now needs to have it's presets recalled from being placed in an AUX or Insert slot. Until then I can have it in serial with the desired ASIO pair.
Eclipse and the PCM91/81's are great hardware units, but for live work the STW Suite will do just fine.
I don't hear that much difference that justifies keeping them for live use. For recording I am sure the differneces are noticable.
I love hardware effects, but the next time I buy a hardware effect, I will need to hear a large difference in quality since live work is my bread & butter.
My project windows are truly ugly, but quite effective. The STW Chorus/Delay in the project window is a temporary workaround so I can use my own presets.
These little bugs won't keep me from gigging.
Here's the project I am currently using for the weekend gig.

oooh! Well thanks for clearing that up. Hopefully it isnt just added back but maybe improved? Maybe not tho if its not icluded in a test release....
Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
And imo..the "unpolished" version already feels way way better then 4.5.The few bugs i encountered arent dealbraking but ofc need fixing.

Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
Can anyone confirm this:
Lightwave v5 sounds identical to the original, except it is quite a few dBs quieter? Is v5 the same but optimised?

Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
Don't know if you've already fixed this or not, but to fix it, you should update the driver for all cards in your system. So, if there's still any cards in your device manager that display as Creamware 'XXXX', update their driver & point to the driver folder inside the new Scope install folder.Mr Arkadin wrote:btw has anyone had problems with the Wave Source modules? i can't get any sound from wave sources like QuickTime Player etc.

Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
Cheers, Shroomz. Weirdly it had updated my 14 DSP booster card but not my Pulsar2 card - yet all my software is registered to the Pulsar2 and was working (apart from the wav thing).
BUG REPORT: Decimator S pops loudly when used as an insert (pop on right channel i think). i have checked all other devices as inserts and they are fine - also no more devices exhibit the preset problem like MasterVerb and E-Reflector do.

i think i've done that and still no wave module action. Oh well.Shroomz~> wrote:

Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
Strange, it worked here. We had to manually point the update driver tool in device manager to the folder inside the new Scope driver folder though. I'm guessing the issue is that updated keys are required for all installed cards in a system, but I could be wrong.
Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
Bug:When using really old devices like Celmo PerPerghost-Wavelenght Plastic the sfp app crashes when trying to load another projekt change voices after saving the projekt or on quitting. It actually Bluescreens the pc with the Scope.sys error. This happened on 4.5 and 4 aswell so i guess its the devices.NO big deal but annoying.
