Thomann: XITE-1 available at short notice (usually 2-5 days)

Post by rhythmaster »

It seems that it's coming. The availabilty changed from "29.4.2009" to "available at short notice (usually 2-5 days)".

I hope the time has come :o

Hmm I don't know. It could be that the availability date changes automaticly by the computer to get to the intended 29.4.2009.
And we've seen the availability date being changed several times. Personally I think this is not the moment yet.

Are you going to use the DP35DP for the XITE-1 Greg, or your Laptop ?

Initial plans are to use my now 2-year old Alienware duo-core/3.8GHz/4G laptop with the PCI cardbus interface.
This is the machine I use for beta testing, etc.

The DG33FBC 'GaryB special' is happy as a clam here in the studio, but I'll probably check into getting a PCI-e card for it.

I was really hoping S/C would build in a XTDM interface between the older cards and Xite, but it looks like it's going to be ADAT I/O only between the two for now.

Greg

p.s. when it arrives I'm going to have to catch up with all your synth fun, since I'm planning on seeing what I can do with guitar synth driving the Xor, etc. I'm WAY behind on the Scope synths, and have hardly used any of them over the past 10 years, since it was impossible to drag my desktop to a gig or another studio
