2 weeks ago my XP crashed. Until that crash everything worked fine. But when I reistalled XP, the Luna 2 card started to have problems when playing. Everytime I play a wave in mediaplayer it has 'clicks'. And no matter what I do, I can not remove it.

I tried every tip on this forum and today I even installed in standard PC mode. But nothing helps.

But the strange thing is that the Luna 2 does work well under Win98se.

My specs:

dualboot os XP/win98se

Pentium 4 1,8 ghz
512 Rdram
40 gig 7400 rpm Maxtor
Geforce 3 Ti 2

IRQ under XP:

IRQ 5 = Luna 2
IRQ 9 = Network card
IRQ 11= Video card

and there are no shared IRQ's
plug 'n play os in bios = yes

I wonder if my problem has something to dowith XP itself. Maybe I forgot to tweak something.

I was wondering if it has something to do with my memroy or processor usage,

Does anyone have a clue what I am doing wrong?

Thanx for reading in anyway.

Peace

Just for info: I have Luna2 v3.01 running completely smoothly on WinXP. So it can definitely be made to work without problems. Heres a short list of things you should do for pro audio in XP:

1. Standard PC mode.
2. Current driver, no sharing IRQ
3. Plug and Play in BIOS to off
4. Turn off system restore except when setting a restore point.
5. Raise your ULLI if you get clicks (I can get 3ms with very little problems on 1.8Ghz, 4ms is better. This is almost entirely CPU dependant.)

Thanx I'll try this.

And I will let you know if it works.
