After years of holding out I am now switching from OS9 to OSX. I can't wait for Xite but can't live without Scope either. So I am planning on buying another Mac with Logic 8 & linking the old one including Scope (4.5, 2x 6DSP cards) via ADAT. Can anyone give me detailed instructions how that will work? Will I use the Scope still as the master or is it better to just feed the instruments into Logic. So far I am using Cubase 5.5 under Scope but I am not sure how Scope will need to be set up if it is no longer superior to the sequencer (then Logic). I could live without the mixing environment of Scope, but need those synths!. Also, maybe there are some ADAT cards that work better than others and someone has some experience with the whole setup.
Thanks.
Switching to OSX - connecting Scope via ADAT?
Re: Switching to OSX - connecting Scope via ADAT?
you will have to hook them up like hardware synths and effects.
just have a MIDI out to the scope machine, and return ADAT to your sequencer for mixing,
or send 8 channels from the sequencer to scope via ADAT and still mix on scope.
heres what i did, but on PC.
