On a serious note i have to say that Windows' latest direction with Vista etc. is making me consider getting a Mac in the not too distant future. All that DRM shit is not going to be good if your computer decides Scope or XITE break its DRM rule and disables it.

DRM is the least of your worries with vista though.

Should
we trust
them though? - Probably not, considering that the Gates foundation have a seat on the Trilateral commission.

Since OSX is based on FreeBSD, what are the chances of getting a FreeBSD driver?

http://www.osx86project.org/
My T43 will only run Tiger and not Leopard due to video support issues, but wireless/bluetooth/USB/1440x1024/power saving all works. Suspend and resume not so much, but then I had a hard time getting that to work under Linux too. Things like Ableton and Circle soft synth work fine. Haven't really tried audio interfaces because mine is a Cardbus interface and would need drivers from EMU.

Huh,
OSX on a thinkpad looks a bit too experimental for me. But thanks for the link anyway.

Os dependence it´s quite absurd for making music. In case you need an specific OS for anything, just install another OS in another partition. I don´t see any contribution of the OS to making music.

Well, it has been reported on this forum that Windows 7 actually runs scope 4.5 pretty good so it's lipstick on a pig that is xp compatible anyways
