Looking for beta tester for my 2nd synth plug
Looking for beta tester for my 2nd synth plug
After the release of my first synth plug a few month ago, I just started to build up my second synth plug (a preview is available bellow).
This time the plug is Novation X-station control oriented.
To prepare for further testing this device, I would need some Novation X-station owners to test it together with this type of hardware surface control and generate some preset file to share with other PlanetZ members.
Anybody interested just tell it and I will send the first package to the volunteers as soon as it is ready (in a few weeks probably).
As you would have noticed, I am using once again the smart control elements kindly shared by ShroomZ to build up the host control surface. The only new element here is the fader I quickly "designed".

That's a really well laid out GUI Brotha' Man Hurolura.
I never owned a real VA, but use a breath controller on my old TX816 still for brass emulations w/ LFO shakes and vibrato.
Do you actually have the BC CC's reassignable?
This looks like you have been working rather dilligently since the first synth release of yours.
I have no knowledge of the X Stations' abilities, but would be honored to check it out. Especially where the BC aspects could be used.
I have been told by many that I look like a Spiny Blowfish when I use the old racked up TX816.

Paul,
Of course I will also provide it to non x-station owner. So you will get it.
My only wish is to find people being able to test the full setup including the controller as I find it much more efficient to design sound when you have real hardware control elements.
Jimmy,
The reason why you get this breath control realtime assigment (as well as expression) is because I also own a Yamaha WX-5 which provide this type of control signal. I do not know how to make CC control reassignable except with the Scope Midi Control assigment. So one can probably re-assign the CC this way. The reason why I the CC control are "hardwired" in my devices is because I also provide Midi controller template together with the devices.
By the way Jimmy this feature was already available in my very first synth the OSS 107 and was available to provide some realtime control feature together with an expression pedal CC, the modulation wheel CC message and the Velocity... I guess I would use it in different way this time.

Just wanted to say thanks.
I really appreciate your efforts! Many thanks for sharing your creations with the larger group. You've got some serious synth designing chops for sure. Many thanks. - Scott

I know it's kinda late, but I'd love to try out your plugin with my X-Station. I use the X-Station as my primary controller. I already have presets for Minimax, Pro-12, and B2003. Although these days, I set up MIDI control through Live instead because Scope gave me all sorts of issues with loading presets (check the threads on this site).

Is this still in the works?
i just bought an X-Station from eBay and it should be with me next week. i would definitely like to give this a try, although it may take me a couple of weeks to figure out how it all works.

Re: Looking for beta tester for my 2nd synth plug
Cheers. i actually bought it so that i could start making more presets for our Scope platform - using a mouse just isn't happening for me. Expect a whole gamut of new presets when i get this thing mapped to Minimax, Pro-12 etc.eliam wrote:enjoy your new toy!

the onboard synth engine is quite good, especially with the multiFX chain. It's surprisingly deep and complex, quite enjoyable to tweak!

Still work in progress ... but I do not have much time for it these days.
I made an experimental version of my former OSS 107 called Opale but it is just ... buggy and I do not find any way to fix it so far.
Thanks for your repply, I will keep you informed.
