Info about the release of SCOPE XITE-1 and SCOPE 5
Hello all,
we are working on our new baby under high pressure...
still some tests and optimisations have to be done.
We apologize for the delay!
This is our official announcement:
"The intended release date (July, 31th) of SCOPE XITE-1
and SCOPE 5 will be delayed. We attach great importance
to optimal and stable operation of the hard- and software.
For this reason we decided to do more testings and
optimisations before the release. We are sure that we act
in the intererests of our customers. Thank you for your
understanding and your patience."
Best regards
S|C Holger

Re: Info about the release of SCOPE XITE-1 and SCOPE 5
Thanks for the info, Holger. Great to hear that.
Just as long as we keep informed what's going on, I think no one will have a problem with that.
Just take the time you need. I hope I can speak for us all when I say that we rather wait a little bit more in order to get a (near) perfect and bugfree XITE-1 and Scope 5, than we can't have the patience and get an unfinished product...
Go Sonic Core go!

Re: Info about the release of SCOPE XITE-1 and SCOPE 5
btw, interesting that you call it "Scope 5". I thought SonicCore had renamed the software to Sonic Core Platform 5.
Not that it would really matter, but I just noticed it

good to be informed
Re: Info about the release of SCOPE XITE-1 and SCOPE 5
Thanks for the info. Waiting is deffinitely better than dealing with a buggy release

Thanks for letting us know, Ralf/Holger! Keeping your customers updated with the current progress will relieve fears and continue our enthusiasm. The wait is pretty awful, though....

Re: Info about the release of SCOPE XITE-1 and SCOPE 5
yeah, I kind of forevisioned this thread being another one of those "you told us that, now this, you spelled this wrong, my coke tastes too sweet, etc" type threads... but glad so far it hasn't. Not that everyone HAS to be supportive. But I do support waiting for something that works for sure. I'm happy to wait for improvements to be made on what's already been working fine for me. (meaning, 3.1c) I can't wait to built a new system with xite in mind. I've been wanting to do that for quite some time now.
I think delays for a more stable product is one of those things that's hard to refute, because at the end of the day we end with a more usable product, and it's much better than getting a "questionable" one 3 months earlier. For me, that ups the value of the investment, while all I have to do is wait. (and not actually read through code and debug it myself, as I do at the office)

Re: Info about the release of SCOPE XITE-1 and SCOPE 5
Thanks for the heads up.
The early announcement of this product and update and its subsequent rollback of release dates, though slightly unsettling, did enable you to present a killer device and a strong company image at this years music shows and for that I am happy because I want the continuation of this product and software.
And its delay makes no difference. I'm glad to hear it is only to ensure the release is as you intended.
In the mean time I'm still immensly enjoying your last release

Indeed. the problem for me will be to wait until one of the two pulsar cards die. what will it be 10 years from now?Mary Mungo wrote:In the mean time I'm still immensly enjoying your last release

Re: Info about the release of SCOPE XITE-1 and SCOPE 5
If the real problem is "test again the software" the simply way is release a PUBLIC BETA for Windows & Mac to let users help Sonic-Core to make tests.........
I'm a mac user and i'm waiting the OSX driver for my pulsar!

Re: Info about the release of SCOPE XITE-1 and SCOPE 5
Yep, this is sounding reasonable... just for example, EMU is doing that with audiocard drivers for years...Drivers are time limited. They work for 3.months or something then you have to install new build. Once when final version is reached you can install it and keep it forever.geno wrote:If the real problem is "test again the software" the simply way is release a PUBLIC BETA for Windows & Mac to let users help Sonic-Core to make tests.........

Re: Info about the release of SCOPE XITE-1 and SCOPE 5
It would take more time for them to prepare a time limit beta and that would mean further delays for the rest of us.
So, no thanks.
