Cant open a project file - scope always load the default

Post by mantrix »

This is not a big one but still annoying, if i double click one of the project files, say munkey.pro it will simply open
Scope wich in turn will load the default project.. Of course i want to be able to open munkey directly and not
have to deal with the extra step.. What is wrong?

I tried that but i could not find anything out of the ordinary.
Actually after installing Scope the .pro files was not associated
with any program, and then i simply used "open with" in windows xp
and browsed to the SFP.exe in the App/Bin folder. Was this
not the right way? And as i said, Scope opens, but it doesnt load the
file i wanted to open, it simply loads the default file....

I would be happy if anyone had a clue what was happening?

is munkey.pro the one you always want to load?
then you just rename <yourscopefolder>App/SFPApp/NewProject.pro to something else, copy munkey.pro to <thatpath>NewProject.pro, and it will not even load on startup, but also say munkey in the project description. it will, though, ask if you want to save changes to NewProject on exit, and still doubleclicking a .pro file will not open the one you clicked.

No i dont want it to load every time, i simply want Scope to work as any other software, that is, when you open a file by double clicking it the program opens it.

For example, if i double click a cubase project file - cubase opens it. It does not open the default project file. If i simply click Cubase.exe, not opening it from a specific file then it will load the default project. Why cant SCOPE work like this? My SCOPE at least, always loads the default project file - even though if i choose to double click one of my ongoing projects.

Most easy way to explain it, i cant open .SFP files from Windows, since SCOPE always load the default anyway. I can only open a .SFP files in SCOPE.

Afaik you can't open a scope project unless scope software is running. This is normal scope behaviour.
