Looks good.Any reference on the ad/da? Will it be on par with a FF800 or an apogee ensemble? I didnt liked the onboard da on the scope pci family.Just a hint in the direction would be nice :) ( yes i know i should hear it)

I have an Audient Mico I got a while back to record with, but these 2 mic pre's are are a bonus.

I can get a pair of FMR RNP's for a total of six pre's. Bass, Guitar, and 4 x vocals.

For live work I won't be needing nothing extravagant. If the 2 pre's on XITE-1 are of a higher quality than the 8380's, the 2 better vocalists will get those.

Face it guys, SonicCore's XITE-1 is offering the best logical / quality choices.

I am also assuming that the new chips from Analog Devices that dropped in price, which JBowen is blessing us with in his Solaris will also be used.

XITE-1 will not be a one trick Pony. :wink:

If I want to use it with a laptop, I guess I have to buy me one with an Expresscard slot? I already sreached on the Internets (tubes' 'n all), but I didn't find any.

That would really surprise me... I guess it's pretty standard on laptops nowadays.
It would be nice if SC makes a list with 'Xite Approved Laptops" like RME has for its mobile cards, or at least recommended expresscard controllers...

ExpressCard controllers are usually part of the main chipset, so Intel generally - it's just an extension of the existing PCIe and USB controllers connections for a card

Hm. I wish this offered the modularity of old cards. I'd rather have 4 z-Link ports than 2 and 16 channels of ADAT, to accommodate my pair of A16s Ultra. O, well.

I still think xite needs 32 adat i/o or even better ...64....It could get a Post production monster.Z-link is nice,but people want different converters.

Agreed - but AES/EBU would have been even better :)

Yeah 2 versions maybe.Or 32 adat and 32 aes/ebu via d-sub.But atleast more digital i/o. PLEASE!

:roll: I just double checked. You are right. It does express card too. You can however get labtops with E-SATA too.
