With Xite on the horizon I decided to look into building my own midi controller. My wish is to have as much control outside the computer. This way I expand my "instrument", which is: FL Studio + Scope + Midi Controllers & Tools.
So with Xite I will probably use 4 seperate mixers because it increases the amount of CC's I can use. I'll give each mixer are a seperate midi channel and mix it into something like Spacef MB4. Dedicate certain CC's for mixer surface (aux/gain/pan/...) , others for some "standard" effects, some for "dry/wet" effects in the insert slot, and a couple of CC's which you can freely assign.
I'm thinking about 8 rotators, 4 buttons, and a fader (two ?) for each mixer channel.
(for example: 2xBCF 2xBCR ).
I really want to take remote controlling to the next level!! How can I not if I dare to concider getting Xite ? I tend to forget about my desire to remote control... but now I have BCR & BCF setup with all control assigned to scope & flstudio...... live mixing is so AWESOME. rant rant rant.....
I assume more people want this need this etc. etc. I dont have all the skills to pull this off on my own. I am hoping to get feedback in this thread on doing this. Perhaps making it easier for others to follow. Also sharing projects/presets so you dont have to worry about linking all your controls........
So who is game ? Remember, once the first controller is built you can hire some student to build you one, or your cousin perhaps. Just point him/her to this thread right ?
So who's game ? I am in no rush. I'll try to continue posting related links/articles/webshops in this thread.

PlanetZ SPF5 Midi Spec ?>
PlanetZ SPF5 Midi Specifications
Perhaps we can agree on a PlanetZ midi specification for Scope mixers/synths/effects/ ....... It would be an interesting challenge. I dont see SC doing something like this and it would benifit us all if things magicly listen to your midi controllers when you load them and the midi wire is auto connected...............

Same kind of idea other there :
http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25314
The first ideas to expand midi possibilities would be:
- enhance the standard Midi CC message (120 / midi channel) with some others (NRPN and Polyphonic Key Pressure/Channel Pressure = + 256 / midi channel)
- provide the necessary atoms for the SDK (maybe some control elements variables exemple, some midi routing switches atoms ...)
- integrate a pre-assigned template on the different plug-ins
