Finished the build today and turned it on.
Back fan comes on - cpu cooler fan comes on for 1-2 secondfs then stops ( I have read this is typical with gigabyte motherboards combined with massive heatsinks)
I cannot reset the computer using the reset button and the on switch at the front doesn't work (I have connected then correctly to the motherboard - (the coloured wire +ve the white wire -ve to the correct pins)
No picture output - I am connecting via DVI ouput on the graphics card to a D-sub adaptor then VGA cable to my old TFT monitor)
Problem is there is no speaker on the Antec Titan Case - so no POST beeps
Basically - I'm stumped
1) Should I buy a cheap internal speaker and connect it to the mobo to examine the beeps first?
2) Try the bog standard Intel heatsink and fan - but perhaps the heatsink is working well and the fan isn't coming on beacuse it isn't needed to lower the temperature - the gigabyte mobo won't turn the fan on if too cool?
New build won't boot - nothing on the screen - fixed it!!

Although this can't be anyhow helpful for you, I have a spare buzzer I removed from the chassis since I was not able to connect it to the DP35DP.
My DP35DP don't beep at all during the post (this and something like a half second too many of black screen after pushing the power button when AC has been off worried me for a moment at the first boot ). I discovered later there's a built in buzzer on board. It beeped at Windows errors (Nlite experiments).
I can guess your mood anyway.
Taking it for granted that the graphic card is correctly placed in its slot and the CPU heatsink is firmly mounted and treated with thermal compound: disconnect everything from the board, but RAM, CPU fan, and graphics, check the PSU and its connections, check the screen, then give it try. If it's the same, try with a different graphic card if you can. If unluckily it won't go yet, you will be sure you have defective hardware (motherboard, or maybe CPU)
I forgot: check the idle fan.
As far as I remember, extreme CPU thermal protection (Thermtrip# signal) usually should turn the power off at all.....but I'm not sure.
...CPU fan however is the last thing I should stop if CPU overheates

hehe, i had a broken sata cable lately. it was looking ok from the outside, but the hd wasn't found. i was shocked firstly, thought the hd has gone forever, and the last backup was 2 month ago. well, a new sata cable, and all worked well again... and the first thing i did was - guess what - yes, a backup

Even worst things can happen. Few days ago I was able to reverse connect the molex from the Liberty PSU to a DVD drive in my 2nd machine ; I had to trash the LG unit.
Probably I'm lucky, since the motherboard looks to be still OK.
