copying complete AKAI CD-ROMs to your harddrive without exte

Quite often I've seen people mentioning using stand-alone utilities for converting AKAI CD-roms to sts-format. Having "no money" as my middle name I never got to buy such an utility, even though I'd like to copy complete AKAI CD-roms to my harddrive at once. Until I found out that Pulsar 3.0's FileBrowser does the job perfectly! Just select all folders on the AKAI disk (select first entry, then hold shift while selecting the very last entry), choose 'copy' from the 'Edit' menu, browse to the destination folder on your harddisk and finally choose 'Paste' from that same edit menu. PRESTO! All samples and programs are on your harddisk. They're stored in the AKAI .p/.s format and contain all parameters of the original program. This method seems to take a little more time than using external utilities, but then again, it's free

BTW I tried your tip again, this time with my cd-recorder as the reader. Took about 25 mins at 24x. Which is good enough for me. So thanks again, as my middle name is also 'no money'

I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to disk copy an AKAI-CD. I have a PC and a Mac, but I would prefer to use my PC to copy these CD's. How would I go about doing this. I've never done this before. I have CDExtract installed on my PC. Can I use this to copy the CD to my HD first, then copy it to a CD?? Im lost.. any help is appreciated!

The simplest way to copy a sample cd is using the program "clone cd". This program cares nothing about what's on the cd, it just duplicates it as is. Very helpful!
