My ASIO Scope device has disappeared!

Post by Grunbay »

I'm running Cubase SX 3.1.1 and Scope 4.0.

When I start Cubase, I get an error indicating "Device: CreamWare Play/Rec 1 Device could not be opened" Errorcode FF7-5-00C [20].

I press OK and it continues to load and gives me an message: "The ASIO Driver ASIO Multimedia Driver could not be initialized"

All of my VST Connections are pending.

When I look at the VST Connections device - the ASIO Scope is greyed-out for each bus.

What the heck is happening here? Any ideas? Everything worked fine the last time I ran the system.

ASIOmultimedia uses the wave drivers, which is what Cubase is asking for. change the driver choice in cubase to ASIOscope.

Where does Cubase ask for the ASIO Driver?

Post by Grunbay »

I cannot find where Cubase specifies the default ASIO driver. I know I found this at one point, but it has worked for so long that I have forgotten!
