I'm downloading 4.5 now. Will it be free for me if I have version 4? Sorry to go OT.

Oh this sucks. It costs $199 EU and I already bought everything new it offers! Now I will have triplicates. I will have to pay all this money just to use it with VISTA?

I hate this.

If I want to use VISTA in the future it looks like I will have to pay just to have a new driver. Thanks Sonic Core!

Well don't f**king move to Vista then

Balanced opinion on a forum is fine, but when it's idiotic whining then I'm not interested in wasting my time on reading it.

When you have spent this much, a driver which supports the current version of Windows should be expected for free. Vista has been out for over a year now.

Blah Blah Blah!

I get free driver upgrades on all my other hardware for years and years dufus.

That is what is known as good customer relations, something that Creamware and Sonic Core has never heard of.

you can use 4.5, if you have licensed 4.0 you will not benefit from the additional plugins you were granted with the purchase of 4.5.
but maybe you have them anyway.

you will not be given 5.0 for free if you did not buy 4.5.
well, that's what they say on their website.
if you're not satisfied with their price policy you can try to negotiate with them (although I doubt that this will work).

I may not be satisfied with everything they do. nevertheless I never encountered any problem with their customer support like you did, sorry. and despite your bad experience I still intend to do one or two key transfers to reduce my equipment. I already got some plugins transferred to my cards without any hassle. I know that this does not help you. but just because it didn't work for you, it's not all bad, automatically. it's neither all good just because it worked for me, mark you.

-greetings, markus-

Sorry but this is confusing. Are you saying that I can have 4.5 since I own 4 but I can not get 5 unless I paid for 4.5?

FFS braincell, stop playing the 'balanced forum' card - your seem clinically depressed and you're starting to bring me down, i have never seen anyone with more negativity than you.

As a company that has bought the Scope system they actually owe us nothing. As a new company they could even charge to get your allkeys file - why should they even keep it? Just because Creamware did? Well they're not Creamware - everything prior to Sonic Core taking over could easily be considered not their problem. But they're better than that and we have a card that is still supported.

Man if you want free stuff go VST and get on the Russian sites and then hang out at KvR and make them depressed instead.

If you want Vista it's not free either. i know which company i'd put my money in and it's not MS. Anyone that dives into Vista as a musician is a fool.

You seem to buy all your gear based on the resale value (see your comments bitching about the value of the cards going down as well as the transfers) rather than basing it on whether it fills your needs at a cost you think is reasonable. If you want to buy musical equipment for its resale value then get some '60s Fenders or something.

If the equipment doesn't do what you want get rid of it. If it does what you want then stop obsessing about the cost of other kit and make some bloody music.

Do I have to repeat myself a third time? I like my cards. Why do I have to keep reminding you all of this. Please do not say I am unhappy with my cards again. We are talking about Sonic Core. Why would you comment on me? If you insist then I will retaliate against you. I promise you this.

Mr A - wise words but it's not worth it, this guy won't understand. Honestly it takes a lot to make me lose my patience on forums these days, but braincell (and also his friend Bingo the Clown) regularly manage to make me give up on the use of rational, sensible communication and reduce me to :hyperlolling: in sheer despair but also happiness that I don't have to suffer such an unintelligent existence.
