I suppose, you just don't like negative comments on ur new creamware card,
anyhow, no negatives how do u know what are the possitives.
i'm just guessing, i know it's sometimes wrong by saying some truth. (apply in many conditions)
you know what, if i said nothing, creamware will still return eamil IF they feel like it.
before that Creamware is already recon as the company with bad email suppot, yet now is definally better.
(plz don't say, it makes me feel proud)

althought many what i said are truth, 2synths. (yes that is what they said) 4DSP =P750mhz. i'm not lying.

We all want a product that can compare to others not just within creamware platform. we want a real powerful product not just fancy/unique looking one. true?

what is the matter of saying truth?

It's great you love Creamware that much! i'm not hating anymore but try to stand and ask question as a middle person that is all.

Not to bash or anything.. I'm just wondering how you get the 4DSP=p750 calculation.. the clock count? It's really hard to tell with these things because the true speed, or "effective-ness" of the cpu has alot to do with what code you feed it. So it could be a p750 in terms of lines of code per sec, but if the code is very efficient, you get more performance. So your calculations may be right in terms of numbers.. but just not sure you should link the performance to a pentium running intel code.

Either way, the only synths that have uploadable "instruments" that are 100% software upgradable are Nord Modular (limited) and Noah. So that in itself has meaning. It's a new breed of synths. You can't compare it to supernova or anything else. Sure, you can compare the VA aspect of Noah with other VAs, and physical modeling with other physmod synths.. The essence is, it really doesn't matter for Noah.. 3 months later, it might be doing something different. The oscilators could be changed, filters can be changed, physmod algorythms can be changed. Or maybe you might have trashed the physmod section and used that space for something else. That's the kind of synthesis paradigm Noah is trying to present. Can't see how that can be compared to any other hardware synth. It's basically trying to break the soft/hardware boundry. Now that's some serious innovation.

I know, i know. This is probably a comparison in MIPS, because that's probably the only way you can compare with numbers. In actual use, things can be a bit different.. It's kind of different from 2.5 PII-300 running windows applications. (which is probably what people would imagine) Take away the cumbersome OS, API, and optimise everything for a specific chip, do everything in assembly, and you'd get much better performance. So, the comparison has its ground, you just have to know where they come from. Just the way you wouldn't compare a dual PIII-300 to a single PIII-600.

Group, do you know what,
DXL sux!
Just opened an account to mail this.
I am a Pulsar-User from the first moment on,
own at all 14 sharcs inside one of my PC's,
with a little bit of technical knowhow the
Pulsarcards a doing the things they have to do. Not only fantastic Synths (Zarg), also a good recording engine.
I own a lot of synth's, but there is none of this boring novas in my studio. Much better use of the money for really god VA's.

I should remind you all that those performance numbers were for Pulsar 1.x software, and much has been improved and optimized since then. My apologies that I've never updated that page with new software performance figures. It's a HUGE job.

Also remember that in an embedded hardware system like Noah, there are many more opportunities for optimization than for general-purpose software running on a PC.

Finally, can't we all just be patient and see how it really performs when it's available. What's the point of dissing its abilities when you haven't even seen one yet?! Maybe dxl is right, maybe it WILL suck! Maybe he's wrong, maybe it'll be great. Why not just wait and see!?

STOP RUINING IT FOR US DXL! ive seen your other post at kvr and futureproducers.com, whining about how bad pulsar is and that everyone should stop supporting creamware.
What the fuck do you think you gain by that, you scare people away from the platform.

GET A LIFE!!

Creamware have some awsome creations in DSP card history, but today it's overpriced and some other downsides. i will definally get a scope card when it's at reasonable price!! lots people will love it so!!

Oh if you are the pulsarI users, it's totally not overpriced.
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

whatever you think!!! not a very big deal anymore.

I've just been reading DXL's posts on future music producers (top recomendation - cheers cosmos).

The thing that really made me laugh was DXL complaining that his 1.4Ghz processor was too slow.

There is no answer to that.

DXL - I see why you hate everything and think its too slow - you are from the future and have accidently been flung backwards in time without realising it - don't worry just hang around until your own time comes round again...

Hi DXL,

I've totally ignored you for about one year. The madness didn't stop. I tried different ways lately, then you start complaining and moaning again, to me.

Get a grip man. Or get some lessons. Or didn't they want you no more at school?

dxl is poluting this wonderful forum. He's stunningly ignorant and opinionated, immature and arrogant. He was banished from the CW forum for his idiotic shit disturbing, and now he's everywhere on this site with NOT ONE valid question or contribution. He's single-handedly dragging down the supportive ambience around here - these pages are becoming a minefield of dxl invective. Something like fifteen posts today, in every forum, with absolutely NOTHING contributive.
Sorry to add to the negativity, but this twit really ruined my morning browse, he's everywhere!
Maybe if someone can trick him into saying his name backwards, he'll disappear.

Well, he does have a post here and there of validity, so we all might as well give him (and us all) a break. It's not like he's always over loaded with testosterone. I actually sympathize with him once in a while.

So anyway... back to the topic... whatever it was...

as a liberal, I tend to abhore censorship of peoples' behavior, unless it interferes with another's ability to be free. However, I also hold onto an idealistic principle that people ought to respect the wishes of others. While I do not think it to be a good idea to censor DXL - I do think that it would be prudent, wise and respectful for him to

SHUT THE FAHK UP

out of respect for the purpose of this community, which I understand to be the promotion of a venue in which one can speak *constructively* about Creamware DSP products and related products. He has been asked several times, sometimes nicely and sometimes not too nicely to do this. It appears that he thrives on this.

I agree that this, and other forums are getting increasingly dedicated to responding to this naive, young whipper-snapper's creamware bashing. I too, am a college student, aged 23, but I think that I am worlds away from DXL as far as maturity and positive involvement in planetz are concerned.

Recently i'm not the one who started all the arugments, just some people who are so sensitive about Questioning Creamware's new product and it's features. (anything wrong?)

However, those who are sensitive to my posts, Go take a shower or a drink! it feel so Good! or you are addictive to this stupid agressive atmosphere here? :???:

I'm won't shut the F up. but i do need to get a grip of myself lately.
by the way, happiness is the element to avoid all kind of conflict, which i'm always searching for it.
Good luck to you all, sinsierly.
