. . . or is planet z like wading through treacle with lead boots on at the moment ?
Seriously i can barely wait for it to load or reply - takes about 1 to 2 minutes at the moment?
Is there anything i can clear in Firefox to help with the speed or is everyone experiencing it too?

Dude,
I was just thinking of starting a thread on this.
Ive noticed it for a couple o weeks and its getting worse all the time, started off as a slight delay, now as you say maybe a minute or two.
Its not a firefox thing tho, as I am using IE on a vista OS comp.
hope it can be fixed.

It's super slow here.. the other planet z pages load normally, so it's probably some issue on the machine hosting the forum database. Maybe someone installed Norton Utilities on it? :p I haven't ever donated money to Z (*hangs head in shame) but this is a nice reminder to do so soon

Yes maybe it's time to put some more coins in the 'z' slot to speed things up again.

In the above triple posts from me, the page got stuck before loading the redirect page, so I thought the posts wasn't send.

The hamster is very tired. someone gave him Chinese hamster food with antifreeze "accidentally" put in it, and he got a blister from a rusty spoke on the wheel.

The slowdown has possibly some to do with the fact that undersea broadband cables were damaged between Egypt and Italy :-
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7222411.stm
The diverted internet traffic was bound to have some effect.
We will have to wait till its fixed for PlanetZ to speed up.

Interesting. I haven't seen any slowdowns from here (california).
OTOH, i may have not been paying attention that day--- who knows?
It's all as fast as can be right now, so if you're seeing slowness, maybe it idoes have something to do with all these mysteriously cut undersea cables. ???
