driver for 64bit windows?

Post by mortifying_troll »

I am planning to obtain 14 dsp system, and maybe an another one later. But i wasn't able to find information if there are drivers for 64 bit xp?

I also understood that forthcoming vista drivers are not 64bit? Its a shame because even 2gb isn't so much for vista...

Can someone help a newbie?

edit:
Ah I almost forgot! Are there any recommended boards for intel quad core processors with at least two pci slots and no on board fans?

if you have time you could try 'drivers for 64 bit xp' in the search machine?

EDIT: the unbelievable happened:
exactly when I deleted my former post, mortifyiing_troll made his reply :-D
so, to make this clear, I give it to you: I said, is your name a joke? :o :P
You can make of it what you want :P
(nothing personally, mortifying).

Heh I understand, my sense of humour may be a little obscure, for most.

But i tried to do what you suggested and found that there are no 64bit drivers. But some mobos do support Physicall Address extension. I have never heard of that before, i'll try do some researching then, maybe it will allow having more ram!

here's the tune
for those who don't know Rehab by Amy Winehouse
slightly modded the text, tho... ;)

They try to,
Make me go to VISTA;
I say no, no, no,
Yes, I've been black,
But when I come back;
You'll know, know, know.
I ain't got the time,
And if mortifying_troll,
Thinks I'm fine;
He's tried to,
Make me go to VISTA,
I won't go, go, go.
I'd rather be,
At home with XP,
I ain't got;
Seventy days,
'Cos there's nothing,
There's nothing you,
Can teach me,
That I can't learn,
From Mr GaryB.

cheers, Tom

Turns out your humor (displayed in various other topics) is actually offensive to most.
