Hi all,
My configuration is:
PulsarII, Powersampler (luna1) cubase SX 3.0 (asio2 24bit)
I set Cubase as sequencer and multitrack recorder, SFP as BUS mixer (with reverbs and other effects).
I record and listen by RME ADI-2 via ADAT connection.
A mix engineer told me that RME ADI-2 has a very good clock.
How can I set card's and ASIO2 sync to ADI-2?
thanks
PulsarII, Luna1, RME ADI-2 and ASIO2 sync configuration.
the clock quality is only relevant at the 'borders' of digital processing
on the input when the signal is transferred into a numeric representation and on the output when those numbers are made an analog signal for listening.
in these domains a highly precise clck signal is an advantage
but once the signal is converted, whatever goes down the Asio channels is immune to jitter (errors in clock precision)
of course it's still important that all devices are synced to one clock
cheers, Tom
