Yes, it will be similar in function to the ASB software (since Holger from SonicCore created the Minimax ASB Windows version software).

OK, for European customers who would like to make a pre-order deposit in Euros - the amount will be 800 Euros, and you need to send me an email that you want to make a pre-order deposit at this address:
deposit@johnbowen.com

The deposit is fully refundable up to 3 weeks prior to ship date for your unit. All sales are 100% guaranteed; if you don't like your synth, you can return it within 2 weeks for a full refund as long as the synth is still in new condition. (I'm not sure how the VAT would be handled in that case, so I will need to check that.) You would also have to pay shipping on the return. Any damage to the unit (scratches, dings, etc.) will be accounted for by a deduction of your refund.

Cheers,
John B.

I don't have a final release spec yet. I will publish it on the Website when I do.

Hell with the release, I just sent my greens.

I asked for a demo of a Bowen synth a couple years back. I found out who the King was, and have never needed to embarrass myself again since then.

My vision is this:

2 x KS 88's, 1 x Solaris, and 2 x DAW's w/ all of my other analog hardware.

I believe I have achieved Nirvana. At least until 2008.

Where's ANTI going?

In any case, all the best to ANTI. And congrats to the new/old developer. I suspect we are in great hands with either/both of them. (Still waiting on the Purchase new pricing to be announced before I get on the order list... )

I cannot say how glad I am that Klaus Piehl is back in Soniccore crew.

That seems like the key for success anyways.

Again my best wishes for the solaris project and hopefully for other soniccore projects too. Now with his experience I`m pretty sure the project cannot fail at all. :)

It seems like the old crew is teaming up again. :) Very nice !
These are also good news for the scope platform as well.

He was the guy behind MiniMax and CWA's other great synths, right? That's wonderful to have him back on the team. Things are looking up!!

I would be surprised if SC didn't take advantage of his skills if he's involved with John as well.

For those who didn't take both of the links John posted, here's a quote from John's forum.
Hi Forum Readers,

As you may have noted on the NEWS page, Sonic Core now has Klaus Piehl as the Lead DSP coder! He takes over the Solaris project as well, and I am quite excited to have Klaus. We worked together before, as he was the primary DSP coder for all the Creamware modules, including such things as the Prophet and Minimax things, so we are quite lucky to have him!

He takes over for Antti, who is no longer on the project.

Because of these changes, there has been a bit of a delay in the development for Solaris, but it is proceeding rapidly now.

I am in Germany for 2 more weeks, and hope to have more news to post in another month or so.

Cheers,
John b.
So like it says, Klaus is now the lead dsp programmer for SonicCore & has also taken over the Solaris project.

Schedules must be met, projects take certain priorities, lands must be conquered.

If these are fhe founding fathers, we should rejoice.
