Often i read about PCI master overflow error using effect , 2 or more reverb etc....
on my PC is different, i've got this error with only ADAT source and destination on my project, and i can't work until i disable the DMA on my HD; it's strange to me, becouse i can't listen a wave file without this error !!
At the top of this message there is two capture shot of my IRQ, and DEvice, please take a look and say to me if there is somthing wrong.
My config:
AMD XP 1700+
Mobo ABIT KG7-lite (AMD760)
512 ram 266
2 UATA HD 10gb and 60gb
AGP card Asus v7100 magic geforce2 32mb
Compaq network adapter (disable on Music partition)
Controller SCSI aic-7850 (10Mb transfer rate)
SB PCI 64V
I've tried all the solution possible with Tweak Bios, with WPcredit, with all possible patch, but with HD DMA enable, when i push play on CUbase the ERROR appear.....

There's nothing wrong with your English

Does it work when you keep HD DMA off?

When you're using Matrox Video cards, you can easily disable Busmastering. They have that option in the DualHead panel from the primary monitor properties.

I see two major problems with your setup.

1. Pulsar is on one of the lowest priority IRQs - lower than your Soundblaster! It should be on IRQ5 or higher. I believe IRQ9 gets the highest priority in most motherboards. RTM.

2. SB Legacy support. <font size=+1>Turn that OFF</font>.

OK, Pulsar on IRQ9 and the thing are better......anyway with DMA enable is impossible to work without PCI problem; I've installed the last VIA 4in1 the last MOBO BIOS.....there is a specific Software to use in the right order ?? PRobabily someone know what's the better combination... (I know, sometimes i'm nonsense.....but....)

just as an experiment try taking out the soundblaster and see what happens.

Just want to make shure, you do not install the AGP-driver from the 4in1. The AGP goes thru the north bridge, and has nothing to do with VIA.
