Samplitude 9.0

Post by Ricardo »

Anyone got it, using it or has anything to say. I tried SAM out a few years ago, and even though the audio was great, the MIDI side of things was pretty poor.
I'd be interested in your views.
Cheers

the program is said to be 'adult' now, specially regarding midi handling.
that's what I've read here and in magazins :-)

Thanx Hubird,
Yeh, I've read the reviews as well. Just wondered if anyone was using it, because the audio was great and if the MIDI is up to it I might convert from good old Cubase.

Aside from not having the midi plugins that Cubase finally added (or 'borrowed' from Sonar) I think Samplitude is pretty much the same, even in v7 & v8. The only thing I'm not sure of is if it has a Transform function (I would be interested in knowing if it does).

Samplitude ROCKS!

Awesome audio and MIDI features are up-to-par with the other hosts.

Whatever other people say about Samplitude's MIDI functionality is heresay if they haven't tried it.

There are MANY converts.

The score and drum editor alone is worth it.

I'm going to be writing a review of Samplitude for a 'major music publication' soon, so I'll keep post when/where it goes up.

I use a free SAM v8lite I got out of a music magazine in my non music machine for importing and learning songs and stuff . The more I play with it the more impressed I am with its audio handling . Midi seems well implemented just a bit different to sx3 to setup . Its a killer app in my opinion ....if I ever lose this machine and cant reregister the freebie I'll buy the magix music studio at least , for sure
cheers

Yeah, the Samplitude 'cult' is growing rapidly.

I'm working on 3 different articles now.

Should be out in the fall/winter issues.
