More than 3 cards

Post by bcslaam »

Hi
I just cant seem to get the search feature on the list to find anything but all messages...so I have to ask

How do I get 4 cards to work?

Pulsar
Pulsar2 x2
Scope

intel 865 mb with most devices disable of more irq, 6 pci slots
xp pro sp2

it will total 31 dsp

I have just ordered 10 IDC 20way edge card connectors and will get a local cable company to make me a 4 and 5 plug stdm cable. I would use the 4 but I was thinking I could make a 5 at the same time if I can get 5 to work.

Cheers

it's been rumored to have been done on custom motherboards...maybe it'll work, maybe not....likely it'll void all warranties trying it.

the cables are crimp connected. they're not hard to make.

IMHO you'll find the Pulsar card to be problematic - it may slow down/cause various inconveniences.

I sold mine, and got v2 cards, Scope and Pulsar2, instead. It worked ok for borg, who uses my old P1's, but then he didn't have that much DSP or heavy projects for that matter.

Let us know how goes :)
